Frequently Asked Questions

Commonly asked questions and solutions for the URX Core65.

Can I customize the functions of the Rotary Knob?

Yes! You can assign custom keypresses, media shortcuts, or macros to all 3 actions of the knob (Clockwise rotation, Counter-clockwise rotation, and Knob Press) using URX HUB.

How do I access F1–F12 function keys on a 65% keyboard?

Hold the FN key and press the corresponding number key on the numeric row: - FN + 1 for F1, FN + 2 for F2, ..., FN + 0 for F10, FN + - for F11, and FN + = for F12.

You can also hold FN + Left Ctrl for 3 seconds to switch the numeric row to act directly as F1–F12 keys.

URX HUB is not detecting the keyboard on Linux

On most Linux distributions, you need to create a udev rule to grant permission for WebHID access:

cat << 'EOF' | sudo tee /etc/udev/rules.d/50-urx-hub.rules > /dev/null && \
sudo udevadm control --reload-rules && \
sudo udevadm trigger --subsystem-match=hidraw

# URX Core65 Wired
KERNEL=="hidraw*", SUBSYSTEM=="hidraw", ATTRS{idVendor}=="36b0", ATTRS{idProduct}=="3131", MODE:="0660", TAG+="uaccess"
EOF

Once the rule is applied, unplug and reconnect the USB-C cable.

How do I perform a Factory Reset?

Hold FN + Space for 3 seconds. The spacebar will blink Red rapidly and then turn solid Red before the keyboard resets and reloads factory defaults.
